At Lifestyle Psychiatry & Behavioral Health LLC, my approach to medication is grounded in safety, clarity, and clinical integrity. I focus exclusively on non-controlled psychiatric medications, using them thoughtfully and only when they are likely to provide meaningful benefit.
Medication can be a powerful tool—but it should never feel overwhelming, confusing, or excessive. My goal is to help you feel better with the least amount of medication necessary, using treatments that are effective, well-tolerated, and supported by research.
These medications require specialized monitoring and are not part of this practice’s treatment model:
Stimulant medications
Benzodiazepines
Chronic sedative medications
For patients who may benefit from medical cannabis, I offer Kentucky medical cannabis certifications separately, in accordance with state regulations. If this is something you’re interested in, we can discuss whether it may be appropriate for your situation.
SSRIs / SNRIs – Used to treat anxiety, depression, and related conditions.
Bupropion – Helpful for depression, low motivation, and certain attention-related symptoms.
Mood stabilizers – Used to support emotional regulation and mood consistency.
Sleep support medications – Non-controlled options to improve sleep quality and reduce nighttime distress.
Non-controlled anxiety medications – Designed to reduce anxiety without the risks associated with benzodiazepines.
Antipsychotic medications (when clinically appropriate) – Used carefully and only when symptoms or diagnoses indicate a clear benefit.
Medication decisions are always made together. I provide clear explanations, discuss risks and benefits, and ensure you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way. Adjustments are made gradually and thoughtfully, based on your experience and goals.
